Solar Cycle progression
The current solar cycle is expected to peak in 2013.
Some investors are watching the solar cycle, because the previous solar maximum (March 2000) coincided with a major stock market peak.
But, historically the relationship between solar cycle peaks and stock markets has varied quite a bit. And because the solar cycle itself can be fairly difficult to forecast, it becomes a rather impractical tool for forecasting future stock market directions.
